We are upgrading the Cohuna Water Treatment Plant as part of our Water Treatment and Storage Upgrade Program, a $40 million program of upgrades across our service region. Upgrades will include replacing the pump station, electrical upgrades and improvements to water treatment processes at the plant.
Between July and September, start construction on the new Powdered Activated Carbon dosing system, Ultraviolet disinfection buildings and wash water handling facility upgrades.
We'll be working on weekdays between 7am and 5.30pm with some low impact works on some Saturdays.
No interruptions are planned as part of these works, but some customers may notice minor pressure fluctuations as testing is carried out.
During works you may notice noise and dust. We’ll aim to reduce this by wetting down the site where possible to reduce dust. You may also notice more trucks in the area using the plant entrance on Cohuna Island Road.
There will be no interruption to your water services as part of these upgrades.
