We’ll be carrying out water mains cleaning along Station Street and Rennie Street in Epsom and Huntly from Tuesday 24 June to Tuesday 1 July.

We'll use a technique called ‘ice pigging’ which involves a truck pumping an ice slurry mixture though the water mains, via hydrants.

This cleaning work is in response to the water discoloration experienced by some Huntly customers in February of this year. We are carrying out this cleaning now, as the current cooler weather means there is less demand on the water supply network.

There will be no water supply interruptions for customers and your water remains safe to drink.

Customers along Station Street and Rennie Street may notice trucks parked along their street as we push the ice slurry mixture into the network. Customers in these areas may also notice traffic management in place as we carry out the works. Work will be carried out between 9.30am and 4pm on weekdays only.
