  Multiple suburbs in Bendigo

We’re completing routine water mains cleaning across Bendigo between Tuesday, 26 May and Friday, 10 July 2026.

In Maiden Gully, Long Gully, East Bendigo, Ascot and White Hills we’ll be using a method called air scouring which pushes compressed air and water through the mains to flush out the natural build-up of sediment.

Works will involve a four-hour interruption to customers. Affected customers will be contacted by mail and SMS before the interruption.

We recommend you turn your stop tap off ahead of air scouring works.

See below for when our cleaning crews will be in your area.

  • Long Gully – Tuesday 26 May to 10 June; and Thursday 2 July
  • White Hills – Wednesday 17 June Thursday 25 June to Wednesday 1 July
  • Ascot – Thursday 25 June to Wednesday 1 July

Flushing in central Bendigo

From Monday 6 July and Friday 10 July we will be flushing in Bendigo Central between 8pm and 4am.

This will involve using street hydrants to ‘flush’ the pipes with high flows to remove the natural build-up of sediment and flush it out.

We are completing these works at night to minimise impact to customers. It is not required for you to turn stop tap for flushing works.

If you notice your water looks cloudy after the cleaning, run your taps for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
