Update 4.15pm
Since our previous update, our crews have identified and repaired a leak in the water main running from the Trentham Water Treatment Plant to Trentham.
With today’s hot weather and resulting high water usage, the plant will take some time to recover to normal levels, and it is likely you will experience lower than normal water pressure.
We will continue to cart water to supplement supply. However, we ask customers in Trentham to reduce non-essential water use where possible to preserve the available supply until levels recover.
If you notice a water main leak or burst, you can report it to us at any time on 1300 363 200.
Earlier
Our crews are working to locate a burst water main believed to be in the Wombat State Forest between the Trentham Water Treatment Plant and the Trentham township.
Customers in parts of Trentham may experience a drop in their water pressure until the issue is repaired.
While work is underway, we will be carting additional water to Trentham to supplement the water supply.
Locating and accessing the exact location of the burst is difficult due to the forest terrain. We will provide a further update here and on social media, including an estimated repair time as soon as one is available.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
