A burst on a 450mm water main in Napier Street, White Hills, between Lyons Street and Cambridge Crescent, has interrupted water supply to Coliban Water customers in White Hills, Epsom, Ascot and Huntly.

The burst occurred at 8.22am within the Napier Street roadworks.

Coliban Water network crews isolated the main at 9.15am and are working on the repair.

Until full pressure is restored to the network, we estimate around 4,000 customers may have experienced low pressure.

Full service is estimated to be restored to all customers around 3pm.

If customers notice sediment or air in the water coming from their taps they should run the tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear.

An investigation into the cause of the burst main is continuing.
