On the 21 March 2022, we submitted our 600-page licence amendment application and supporting documentation to the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) for the Kyneton Water Reclamation Plant. The application seeks to incorporate the latest science and to update various conditions within the current licence, based on the science.

Since the submission date, and as part of the review process, EPA requested additional information be provided to support their review. The licence amendment application was accepted by EPA in May 2022.

Community engagement and feedback on the draft application commenced in July 2022 and concluded in August 2022, via the Connect Coliban and Engage Victoria websites, and an in person information session held in Kyneton.

The Kyneton Water Reclamation Plant has continued to be regulated against the conditions in the current licence until an outcome is reached on the licence amendment application.

On Monday 26 June 2023, Coliban Water received feedback from the EPA in the form of a draft Operating Licence, for Coliban Water’s review and comment.

We are in the process of reviewing this feedback, and will continue to work with the EPA until an outcome on the amendment application has been reached
