We are increasing the volume of water released from the Kyneton Water Treatment Plant (WRP) to the Campaspe River on Friday 3 September 2021. The releases we will be inline with our EPA licence conditions for water quality.
Our lagoon volume is currently at 92 per cent, and the EPA has been informed of our current operating status at the site.
The final stage of our $17 million Kyneton Solutions Project is the Kyneton Recycled Water Irrigation Scheme, which will pipe Class C water to irrigators.
Until this pipeline is complete in the first part of 2022, and the storage/irrigation and release model can be balanced, we need to manage water at the plant to avoid uncontrolled releases to the environment.
We have informed all stakeholders prior to commencing the release.
