Jeff Rigby has announced his resignation as Managing Director of Coliban Water after leading the organisation for the past seven years.
Chairperson Lucy Roffey today confirmed Mr Rigby’s departure from Coliban Water to take up the role of Managing Director of Western Water, based in Sunbury.
Mr Rigby has worked in the Victorian water industry for over 30 years and came to Coliban Water in late 2011, after completing a five year term as Managing Director of the Horsham-based Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water.
“Jeff commenced with Coliban Water at a time when the corporation was contending with significant financial challenges following the Millennium Drought.
“Through prudent management of the corporation’s finances under a long-range strategy, the organisation is now in a much stronger financial position and is a financially sustainable enterprise,” Ms Roffey said.
“Early on in his time with Coliban Water, he restructured business operations and the changes made are delivering cost effective services and better outcomes for our customers, communities and the environment across our region.
“Jeff’s contribution to Coliban Water has been significant given the challenges faced in our region, and I would like to acknowledge and thank Jeff for his achievements here.
“We are well placed to move forward with a financially sustainable, high performing organisation demonstrating a strong culture and values thanks to Jeff’s leadership,” Ms Roffey said.
Mr Rigby’s final day with Coliban Water will be Monday 18 February 2019.
The Board of Coliban Water will shortly confirm the appointment of an acting Managing Director and make preparations for commencing a recruitment process for the vacant Managing Director role following Mr Rigby’s departure.
