Water Supply
Campaspe - only supplies the town of Goornong (it used to supply Axedale and Rochester). Raw water is supplied from the Campaspe River. Goulburn-Murray Water manages the raw water supply.
Water Treatment
Water is treated at the Goornong Water Treatment Plant.
The Water Treatment Process (PDF 43KB) includes coagulation and flocculation, clarification, media filtration and pH correction. The water is then chlorinated and stored in clearwater tanks.
Treated water is pumped to the Goornong elevated tank and then into the reticulation system.
Wastewater
There is no sewerage system for Goornong.
