Four new Directors appointed to the Coliban Water Board
Four new Directors have been appointed to the Coliban Water Board to strengthen leadership and bring a fresh set of expertise.
Board Chair, Bob Cameron, said the new Directors, Timothy Ada, Clare Luehman, Margaret O'Rourke, and Genevieve Overell, will serve alongside continuing Board members to guide Coliban Water's governance and strategic direction.
"Timothy, Clare, Marg, and Genevieve bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors, with expertise that spans economic policy, financial management, infrastructure development, regional priorities, and environment and climate risk, along with a deep understanding of our growing community, its residents, and businesses," he said.
"Their appointments complement the diverse skills and expertise of our continuing Directors and position our Board strongly to guide Coliban Water to meet customer and community needs and navigate the challenges of ageing infrastructure, population growth, and climate change."
The new Board appointments, effective from 1 October 2025, were announced by the Minister for Water, the Hon. Gayle Tierney, following a rigorous selection process.
While welcoming the new Board members, Mr Cameron and Managing Director, Damian Wells, expressed their gratitude to departing Deputy Chair, Lucy Roffey, and Directors Marika McMahon, Nigel McGuckian, and Helen Symes.
"We thank them for their commitment and expert contributions over many years to Coliban Water and the Victorian water sector,” Mr Wells said.
"I look forward to working with new and continuing Board members and to their guidance in an increasingly complex operating environment. This input is invaluable as we roll-out our largest ever program of capital works, while balancing the costs to customers and the added uncertainty that comes with the current dry conditions impacting our water storages,"
