Boil Water Notice Lifted – Wedderburn
The water in Wedderburn is safe to drink.
Following consultation with the Department of Health, we are advising customers that the boil water notice issued on 5 November is now lifted for Wedderburn.
The boil water notice was issued after on-site inspections identified a sheet of roof iron which was likely dislodged from the Wedderburn clear water storage tank during the recent storms on Wednesday 3 November.
It is now lifted after repair of the tank roof has been completed and water quality testing has confirmed the water supply is safe.
We recommend that customers flush the internal taps for 2 minutes to draw fresh water into their internal plumbing.
Customers were notified via SMS that the boil water notice has been lifted. Information about the lifting of the notice was made available on our website, through our social media accounts, and was distributed to local media.
