Coliban Water are aware of possible structural damage at the Wedderburn clear water tank storage, and as a precautionary measure are issuing a Boil Water Notice to customers in Wedderburn.

A site inspection identified a sheet of roof iron which has likely been dislodged from the Wedderburn clear water storage tank during the recent storms on Wednesday 3 November.

An inspection of the roof and repair works required are currently being planned to be undertaken tomorrow, Saturday 6 November.

A Boil Water Notice is a measure taken when we detect a water quality issue with our customers’ drinking water supply.

A Boil Water Notice advises customers to boil their drinking water and water used for food preparation until we confirm the water is safe for these purposes.

If a water quality issue is detected we will work around the clock to address the issue and keep customers informed. We are working closely with the Department of Health on this issue.

Information about how to boil water is available on our website www.coliban.com.au. Customers can also call our 24-hour faults and emergencies number 1300 363 200, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
