Your water is safe to drink.
Coliban Water, following consultation with the Department of Health, advises customers that the Boil Water Advisory issued on 11 April for Kyneton and 12 April for Malmsbury has now been lifted. The water is safe to drink.
The Boil Water Advisory was issued following a burst water main and supply interruptions in Kyneton which had the potential for ingress into the system and compromise to the safety of drinking water.
The Advisory is now lifted after repairs to the water main and flushing of the reticulated system were completed. Water quality testing has confirmed the water supply is safe.
We recommend customers flush their internal taps for two minutes to draw fresh water into their internal plumbing.
The standpipe located in Saleyards Road, Kyneton has also been reinstated.
