Coliban Water has issued a Boil Water Advisory for Echuca following excessive stormwater due to inclement weather entering one of our treated water storage tanks. This may compromise the safety of the drinking water. The tank has now been isolated.
A Boil Water Advisory is a measure taken when we detect a water quality issue with our customers’ drinking water supply.
A Boil Water Advisory notifies customers to boil their drinking water, and water used for food preparation, until we confirm the water is safe for these purposes.
We are working closely with the Department of Health on this issue and continue to keep customers informed.
Information about how to boil water and what it can be used for is available on our website www.coliban.com.au. Customers can also call our 24-hour faults and emergencies number 1300 363 200, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Next update 3pm.
