A yellow light aircraft sits on an airport tarmac with a tin hangar in the backgroundThe operational future of the Cohuna airfield has been confirmed after the Lions Club of Cohuna recently took over the licence for the airfield.

The aerodrome is on land owned by us, next to the Cohuna Water Reclamation Plant.

The licence was previously held by Gannawarra Shire Council. The changeover will mean the airfield will continue to operate and will stay in community hands.

The agreement is for a 20-year head-licence agreement. This is great news for the Cohuna community and means no gap in operations.
